Jacksonville Against COVID-19
At Artfully Green Inc., we are excited to shift gears in times of need. In response to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, we have started Jacksonville Against COVID19 or JAC.
Jacksonville Against COVID-19 (JAC), is an initiative based in Jacksonville, FL focused on teaming up with local organizations to better equip Jacksonville in our fight against COVID-19.
To accomplish our goal of "flattening the curve" or slowing the spread of the virus in Jacksonville, we have assembled a task force that met biweekly with a representative from each organization to share ideas and resources on how to better combat COVID-19 in Jacksonville.
Impact
In total, Jacksonville Against COVID-19 involved over 200 local organizations and raised over $20 million in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We distributed a total of over 600,000 masks: 400,000 masks to 200,000 individual homes and 200,000 to hospitals around Jacksonville. Through our partner food banks, we fed over 500,000 meals and distributed microgrants to over 10,000 people who had been affected by COVID-19. More details here.
We have also received endorsements from Mayor Lenny Curry and Congressman John Rutherford. Jacksonville Against COVID-19 has been featured on National Public Radio and CNN.
Detailed notes on our work from each meeting are shown below.
